Creating a contract with a demon involves a few key points:
Accidental Summoning: You don't have to know about demons to summon one. Ciel summoned Sebastian by accident.
Desperation and Lack of Faith: People who summon demons are usually in a tough spot and may not believe in a higher power.
Eternal Bond: Once summoned, the link between the human and demon is supposed to last forever.
Choice to Create the Contract: Even after summoning, the person can choose whether to make a deal with the demon or not.
Finalizing the Contract: The contract becomes official when the person gives a specific command to the demon, and they discuss the details. The terms must be clear and not vague.
Guidance in Making Terms: If the person is unsure about the details, the demon might allow them to express it as three wishes for guidance.

SEBASTIAN MICHAELIS:
Sebastian Michaelis is a highly devoted and flawless butler to Ciel Phantomhive in public, always responding to Ciel's orders with "Yes, my lord." Despite his impeccable butler facade, Sebastian is a ruthless and sadistic demon who serves Ciel with complete obedience. He doesn't sleep, viewing it as a luxury, and tirelessly runs the Phantomhive household.
While Sebastian carries out Ciel's orders flawlessly, he is not without his quirks. He may criticize how Ciel treats his workers but admits that he doesn't mind the butler lifestyle. Sebastian's demeanor is courteous, and he accomplishes tasks with ease and grace.
Behind his butler persona, Sebastian is callous and morally bankrupt. He is willing to lie, cheat, and seduce to gain an advantage. He occasionally puts Ciel in nonfatal danger for his own amusement and strictly adheres to his demon principles, such as avoiding multiple contracts. Sebastian's ultimate goal is to claim Ciel's soul.
Sebastian is fascinated by humans, finding them insatiable and willing to do anything to achieve their desires. He views them as "difficult creatures" and has a mutual distaste for Grim Reapers. Despite his flawless exterior, Sebastian does express concern when Ciel's life is genuinely threatened.
Regarding materialistic values, Sebastian views money as "rubbish." He is multilingual, being fluent in French and Latin, proficient in German, and knowledgeable in a Southern German dialect. Sebastian has a deep love for cats, even hiding thirteen of them in his wardrobe to keep them a secret from Ciel.
